Perkeo

  The first model of the Perkeo series was the pre-war Perkeo 3 x 4 from 1931. After WW II from ca. 1951 to 1957 Voigtländer made around 6 different models with or without uncoupled rangefinders and with either the 3 element Vaskar or the 4 element Color-Skopar lenses. Except for the first model af the Perkeo I  produced only one year  from 1951 to 1952, all the following models have double exposure prevention, including the second variation of the Perkeo I from 1952 (the model shown below)

  Voigtländer Perkeo I (1952 - 1955) VF
Serial no.: 3199521
Format:
  6 x 6 on 120 rollfilm
Optics:
  Vaskar 1:4,5  75mm
Shutter:  Prontor S B + 1 sec. => 1/300 sec.
Misc.: Double exposure prevention

Allthough the Perkeo I are a beautifully made medium format folder, it is a very basic 6 x 6 camera. It's very compact, and when closed it'll fit in any coat pocket. Actually the body itself are of the exactly same size as f.e. the 35mm Vito CL !. It's are very "sensible" camera, and evrything is just where it's supposed to be, and it feels very comfortable to use. If you are considering to get a compact medium format folder, you should take a look at one of the Perkeo models.
